Happy Birthday, Princess πŸ‘‘
From just "Hello, how you doing?".
This is for you.
Before everything else

A note from Gad

πŸ“ Why I made this
I still look back at April 19th and laugh a little. I sent that "Hello, how you doing?" not knowing it would end up being one of the most important messages I'd ever send. I tried to be smooth, told you I felt like I knew you from Gisozi, just to keep you talking. Even when you said you didn't remember me at all, I didn't flinch. I just knew I wanted to make sure you'd never forget me after that.

Somewhere between those DMs, the calls, the WhatsApp voice notes, and all the late conversations, things shifted. And I realised I wanted to do something that matched how I actually feel about you. So I made this. It's not perfect. But it's all real.
πŸ‘Έ Who you are to me
I see someone who is quietly building her own empire and chasing a vision for her life that most people aren't even ready to understand yet. I love how intentionally you move, from working countryside, coming into Kigali entirely on your own terms, and fiercely for friends and family, all while still handling personal activities, travel, and things you love.
Getting to know you means realizing that even the smallest things about you, like your favorite color, your opinion and belief in astrology an your favorite food, are entirely charming. You gave me a little bit of your time, and I'm going to spend all of mine proving that trusting me with it was the best decision you could make.
From the very beginning

The Way It All Started

The DM
I found your profile. And I just... went for it. "Hello! How you doing?" four words, no plan, just a gut feeling. I believed that I am getting a positive response. When you did four days later, it felt like something cracked open.

"Somewhere muri Gisozi..."
I told you I felt like I knew you from Gisozi. You said maybe cz you used to come there. I wasn't entirely lying. But even if I was, I'd do it again. I just needed you to keep responding.

The Photo
You asked for a picture. Not a video, a proper standing one. I dug through my phone and found the one a friend had taken. You said you didn't recognise me. I said "Nonese twijyeze duhura." And somehow, that worked.

"Just Impress Me"
You said it so casually. "Just impress me." I told you I wasn't going to overextend myself, but honestly? I was already hooked. I said I'd surprise you instead. You said okay. I've been working on that ever since.

The Bags
You told me about your business, selling bags, building something real. I asked to see it. You showed me. And right there, I saw a side of you that wasn't on Instagram. I meant it. I still mean it. You'll take over Kigali and I'm going to be the first one to say I told you so.

Written just for you

A Letter to Pria

πŸ’Œ
Dear Pria,

There's a version of this story where I could have scrolled past your page and did nothing. I'm so glad that's not the one we're living.

You made me work for it, every reply, every step, every call. You didn't just open the door. You made me find it first. And honestly, that's one of my favourite things about you. You don't give yourself away cheaply. You make someone show up. That's not playing hard to get, that's knowing your worth.

I've watched you talk about your business with quiet pride. I've seen you move between places, the province, Kigali, your family, your dreams, and do it all without making a big deal out of it. Most people would be exhausted. You just keep going.

You have this way of talking that makes everything feel like a real conversation, not just noise.

I told you I'd surprise you. This is the beginning of that promise. I'm not going anywhere, Pria. I'm just getting started.

You came into my life and somehow made everything feel lighter. Hearing your voice eases the weight of a long day. Watching you chase your goals inspires me to chase mine harder. I don't just love who you are today, I believe in the woman you're becoming. And I can't wait to watch you win.

Happy birthday. The world got genuinely better the day you came into it.
